We are the few owners who own one or more clean black rose/s .

Curently only 32 clean black roses ( tradable and craftable ) are in existence .

A short history :

In the 14 february 2012 the black rose was added in the game. After some few more updates, on the 18 april 2012 update valve stated that it's now tradable but after updating the game files the knife still had the tag "Not tradable" on it . Now it's only giftable ( can be wrapped ) .
Few people who noticed this after a while sended a ticket to valve to make it tradable, because the update states so and the wikipedia too . An uninformed valve support guy ( if i can say so ) responded to the people tickets and made them tradable . Aparently seems that he was uninformed , because The Black Rose is not supposed to be tradable because it's an achievment based item and isn't tradable .
A thread was posted on SPUF named "Black Rose confusion" by the support guy who made few of them tradable and posted info but it got deleted.

You now can see that they are not longer obtainable in the tradable quality. (Click on " Support Tech answer ")

The Black Rose is awarded to players who complete the Alliance of Valiant Arms achievement 1st One Down by creating a character and playing their first game. In addition, this achievement will unlock the Holy Mackerel melee weapon for use in Alliance of Valiant Arms.

Crafted Black Roses

With the Gun Mettle update came the glitch to craft Black Roses, which, similar to their counterparts that this group is about, are clean.

And for this reason I have decided to let anyone with a clean Black Rose join, whether they are one of the original few, or one of the more common crafted versions.

Note that anybody who is a Moderator in this group is the owner of a clean Black Rose, and anyone who is a regular member owns the more common crafted variant of Black Rose!

Okay, how you know few days ago i asked steam support if they were given away again clean & tradable black rosese. Here's the answer :

"Hello Gabizzu,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We will investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

Please note that you will not receive a notification about any action taken as a result of this report.

If you have any further difficulty, please let us know. "

So, it seems that they don't really know if another staff member has made the same mistake as the one before him ..

Darn. The price of my pro ks clean black rose on the market is DAUNTING. Every time I think about selling it I remember that i'm in this group, so I change my mind. Gosh, I just want an aussie scattergun.

Awesome seeing someone researching these again sometime :) The number of Support Granted cleans in existence I still have somewhere in my memory is ~30, so that seems plausible! The Steam Purchase ones aren't something I remember looking into at the time, but the origin attribute stays consistent regardless of the item being traded or modified (safe from exceptions relating to the time before item history was a thing). Afaik Steam Purchase is as literal as the name implies, originating from a purchase made on the Steam platform (so mostly promotional items).

I've been doing some research on the black rose, and it turns out there are 453 tradable ones in existence as I write this comment, where only 25 of them were support granted and the rest crafted during the time the gun mettle crafting glitch wasn't patched. According to backpack.tf, mine was crafted, but that doesn't change the fact that I value it. Also side note to that, multiple have been deleted (origins of each individual deleted one and exact number I still can't figure out) and 97 were steam purchased. I think that just means someone bought it from the community market, BUT I am waaaaaay too lazy to even bother on that front.

Well as it turns out the original owner of the group, gave some people Admin, and is now appearantly not in this group anymore.. Because I just found out I'm the new owner of this group, it would seem according to permissions I have in the settings. So.. yeah welcome to my group I guess!
