Game crashes on launch

Immediately after the company logo, I get a "Some issue with Steam API. Highscores downloaded: True" window, followed by a fatal exception window, then the game terminates. This is under Windows 7 x64. Anyone else run into this issue and solved it?

I don't know if the developers still check this forum at all, but if you do could you please add an optional executable that runs Tobe's Vertical Adventure with the FixedTimeStep flag in XNA disabled? This is a problem with most XNA-developed games runni...
