Steam Deck, black screen

Would like to play on the Steam Deck. I can start it and get to the menu. As soon as I go to new game I see the logo and can read text below. After that everything is black and nothing more happens. Edit: Looks like the game is frozen, included overlay. But the Steam OS continues to run as normal. Edit2: Proton version Proton hotfix helps....

Option to force 16:9 aspect ratio

Some players that have really nice ultra-wide monitors are having issues with the frame being cropped at the top/bottom.
Now there is an option to crop the game at the original 16:9 in the options menu.
For the ultra-wide-monitor-owner there will be black bars on the side, but at least it will fix the issue.

Steamdeck version requires Proton-hotfix

If you are playing the steamdeck version of Sacre Bleu and you run into crashes after the main-menu, you likely need to install the proton-hotfix

Click Game Info -> Properties -> Compatability -> and turn ON the "force use of a specific Steam Play Compatability tool"

On the second level of the lab when its to teach the throw there is no button on chalkboard and no button works to make the throw. Im on keyboard and mouse.

Add option of 3440x1440 with black bars (because crops the game)

With Ultrawide monitor, when selecting 3440x1440, the game cuts the top of the game area (crops), and annoyingly hides what you're intended to see. I would much rather play with black bars and see more of the game all at once, how it's intended. You can do 2650x1440 windowed, Right click on desktop, View > Hide desktop icons. And making the background color black. It works fine, but a bit annoying to do just to play the game, switching back and forth like this. Can't really write a review right now beca...

Nice game, some levels are really hardcore, thanks for that :D Unfortunately, there are a lot of glitches and critical bugs that ruin the speedrun experience. 1. Some doors can be passed without opening. You can die and still move ahead without pressing any buttons or pulling levers. 2. The zoom in/out camera is terrible, especially on large levels. Incredible fast-paced action platformer

What sets this game apart from many other platformers is that performing well in the combat sequences will give you a bonus in the form of a time deduction - so you can earn up to 10 seconds of time just taken off your timer per combat. This means that you not only have to get from A to B, you have to carefully plan out the combat sequences and manage your ammunition to achieve the best time.

I think this game is a great take on the action-platformer genre, with well designed levels and mechanics that allow for very competitive play. One small downer is the lack of a replay system, which would've been a really great addition to the game. The official Discord does make up for that a bit though, since a lot of strats are shared there instead. The developers are also there and very happy to answer questions and listen to feedback about the game.

If you're looking for an action-platformer that you can pick up quite easily and play both casually as well as quite competitively, then I would absolutely recommend you pick up Sacre Bleu!
