Update 1.2 "The Brood Watcher" is now live!

The Brood Watcher, a class 6 heavy tank, has arrived. All players have access to the Brood Watcher after completing the "Becoming a Brood Watcher" questline. Brood Watchers are herbivores and can graze on grasses to slow their hunger. They can eat mushrooms without being poisoned or snack on their preferred fruit bushes found in grassy areas around the map.

The Brood Watcher Emote Pack DLC is also now available on Steam for $4.99 USD. The Brood Watcher emote pack includes 4 new emotes, Affection, Challenge, Distress, & Mourn.

Update 1.2 Patch Notes

• Added ability to respawn as the dragon that just died. The respawned dragon is exactly the same but starts as a Hatchling again. All cosmetic pearls from the old dragon carry over to the new. Mutations and growth are reset.
  
• A" & "B" genes are now generated in the dominant gene pool for random spawn eggs
  
• Hatchlings can now boost when flying allowing them to accelerate and fly
  
• Changed spawn stats: 1 A stat is now guaranteed, 2 B stats are now guaranteed, 3 C stats are now guaranteed, 4 D stats are now guaranteed, 5 E stats are now guaranteed, and 3 stats are completely random.
  
• Removed the adult speed clamp on the Elder ground speed. The clamp remains in effect for Swimming and Flight.
  
• World peace zones no longer protect AI
  
• Increased the needed Hunger/Thirst % to 20% to get the growth buff for juveniles and hatchlings
  
• Improved stat generation for recessives. It is still RNG, but the % are higher.
  
• Increased the number of Elder geodes that can be active at one time
  
• Passive Elder tick frequency increased from 2 per day to 4 per day (every 6 hrs)
  
• Resting now also heals stamina exhaustion (in addition to sleeping)
  
• Carcasses are now size appropriate to the corpses that dropped them
  
• Night vision has been reworked for all dragons to add more color and varying degrees of brightness/distance
  
• Rebalanced crit chance/damage for all dragons

• Gene selection from parent selection is now based on a 50/50 chance. Dominant will add a 25% chance to parent. If both parents are dominant, the chance is 50/50; if neither parent is dominant, the chance is 50/50; if one parent is dominant, the chance is 75/25 in favor of the dominant parent
  
• We brought back Legacy-era upstatting. "F" bloodline quality does not upstat. If two genes match and also match the BQ, the gene will be +1. If BQ is "A" for both parents, and both parents are dominant, and the gene pair is A, A+, or A++, there is a 5% base chance of +2. Nesting pearls will increase this %.
  
• Bloodline Quality no longer has any impact on Gene selection during nesting. It now impacts which genes a Brood Watcher can upstat. Brood Watchers can attempt to upstat any Gene less than or equal to the Bloodline Quality. BQ does not affect how high a gene can upstat, only which genes can be selected. BQ of A will allow any Gene A or lower to be selected for upstatting. BQ of E will allow only F or E genes to be selected for upstatting. This also affects random upstats during non-BW incubation.
  
• You can now see the genetics of parents and grandparents for each nesting pair by hovering over the icons in the parentage slot
  
• Egg invites are no longer done through the social panel but through the nest panel
  
• Dominant Mutation now ensures that the best gene passes from each gene pair while nesting. With Dominant, the chance of the best gene passing is 100%. Without Dominant, the chance is 50/50.

• Added an Elder Geode tracker to the compass for Adults only which tracks the closest Geode that is power attuned to your dragon.
  
• Added quest tracking via quest journal in the character panel
  
• Completely redesigned the Nesting UI panel
  
• Added stat card back to spawn menu, worked on spawn menu
  
• Added UI skin support with a new Ash skin for the UI - you can change skin in the General Options menu
  
• A new minimap has been added to the character panel
  
• Long quest replies now wrap properly and do not run off the screen

• Forgotten Forest has been updated with a new Swamp Biome and several other areas have been overhauled
  
• Updated various Collisions on FF map to improve performance

• Added 3 new admin commands to the admin panel: Grow Elder, Protect (cannot be damaged), Unprotect
  
• Added server config option bDisableRespawns to disable respawns on your server.
  
• Certain detrimental Admin Panel Commands are now hold down button for 2 seconds to activate, a progress bar has been added to show 2 second activation progress
  
• Removed the 15-minute timer for admin restores. Please note that if you die and respawn while waiting for an admin restore, if you die again while juvi on any dragon, it will overwrite your restore
  
• Admin spectator camera no longer has collision
  
• Improved responsiveness of Admin panel button commands

• Biolumin's can now place nests on cliff sides while hovering

• Inferno Ravager Inferno Ability now cauterizes bleed on self
  
• Better synced movement speed with animations

• Increased Flame Stalker mitigations by 5-10% across the board to make it more off-tank/dps class
  
• Reduced total seconds Flame Stalkers will bleed to make it more of an off-tank/dps solo class
  
• Flame Stalker's Heat Vision now allows the Flame Stalker to see vital organs more easily, granting max crit chance (50% cap) in combat while Heat Vision is active

• Updated many sounds and sound fx

• View Distance "Beawesome" setting increased for high-end rigs

• Thumb mouse button 4/5 icons are now correctly displayed (they were swapped)
  
• Fixed nests not detecting large dragons laying on them
  
• Possible fix for not being able to pick up pearls / grabbing food underwater
  
• Fixed Baby Acid Spitter love emote using root motion after it ended
  
• Fixed an issue on several dragons where animations would replay a standup or lay down transition after emotes were used
  
• Fixed a bug where taller dragons could not place a nest on flat surfaces
  
• Fixed a bug where players could use special abilities or attacks while emoting or attacking to cancel the current emote or attack; this not only fixes the bile drain bug on BS/FS/IR but also the roar cancel on elder geodes.
  
• Hint text should no longer show on top of menus

Day of Dragons Update 1.2 release date will be Thursday, March 27th.
