I dared to play this through family sharing instead of my own library, so I'm not allowed to post a review in the normal area. So here it is! God, these games are ENDLESS! I beat it with ~40% completion rate and it took over 40h. It was fun, but I'm going to just view summaries of 5 & 6 and go to play #7 next!...

This game is great.

Im going through the Yakuza series for the first time, and boy was this game great. The story was fun, my favorite part was either Saejima's part or Tanimura's. the combat is very refreshing. While playing Yakuza 3, I got pretty bored with Kiryu's moveset and found myself using the same combo of Square Square Square Triangle Triangle. Now with 4 entire characters to play, it was very refreshing. The ending felt good too, getting to beat the crap out of the antagonists felt amazing, but that always feels go...

final fight with a bodyguarded somebody

dont make the same mistake that i did, and dont go straight for him, despite the cinematic start of the fight pointing you to doing so. if you do, all of the bodyguards will lose a significant degree of colision size, stacking multiple in one spot, and will attack without any cooldown or delay. they'll juggle you around. instead, go away from the guarded somebody, fight the other bodyguards, then the ones standing close to him....

One plot point I still can't understand

So during the Kiryu part of the game, Yasuko drugs Date and takes off from New Serena before meeting up with Akiyama and Tanimura. That part just doesn't make sense to me. Why did she happen to have some fast acting knockout drugs? Why did she feel the need to knock him out instead of just walking out the door? How did she meet up with the other two?...
