Let me say I played the closed beta on discord way back then, this was easily one of my favourite multiplayer games of all time
But developer incompetence is actually astounding, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbelievable. Here's a list of all the stupid ♥♥♥♥ all teams have done

-During their CLOSED beta, they handed out the keys by, and, I'm being serious, sending an announcement with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ picture of a huge list of keys, better redeem them quickly. Like what the ♥♥♥♥ kind of handling is that. I only got my key from connection with a DISCORD mod (not a game developer) who provided me with one (???)

-The game was released, and communication was a mess. Then they went silent for MONTHS without a single word, and then re-released the game on steam, this one here.

-They released a trailer for a new killer and then they went silent again, with absolutely nothing. 6 months later the killer still wasn't added and the game died out

-They suddenly released the old Discord version of the game on steam, and it costed money cause of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ course it did. So it was confusing with the OLD discord version "The Nightmare" and the NEW steam version "Afterdark". oh and would you look at that it's delisted nowadays how lovely of them

-Finally now they're doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Forest Hills or whatever and it's in a graveyard thats on fire or some ♥♥♥♥ like that. The new stuff they showed off in the trailer looked low poly, low resolution, and just poorly made and confusing. Where's the school? Why are we in a graveyard? Why the hell are there zombies now? Other than that its recycled voicelines and animations we've seen before. I have absolutely no hope for that game succeeding. Oh, and I forgot, and get excited, because you are about to buy this game a FOURTH time, because of course you do. The discord one wasnt enough, the steam one wasn't enough, the cashgrab re-release wasn't enough, give them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money

-Edited forgot to add. The new Forest Hills game? Meant to come out last halloween, it got delayed. And you're not gonna believe what happens next, it's going to blow your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind. They went silent without a word since. Its been SIX months, are they waiting for next Halloween because they missed the date? Different team, same problems

its incredible how such an amazing game can be mutilated beyond recognition by sheer incompetence
