I'm at the stage where I am self-publishing my games and I dont really want to micro-manage producing the games. If I set the Production Machine to "Automatic Production" will I miss out on sales?

I am wondering about making an engine and have made a few but from i'm looking it is best to only make one and use it even if it's not optamized for the game type? Dose the engine optimization make that little impact on the outcome of the game that you can ignore it? I figured it would be better to have an engine for each genre, but from what other people do it looks like it's better to stick to one so more intrest builds up on it? Also side question is this like the other game where making a good game can...
