We've seen incredible reception over the last 2 weeks.

Thank you for participating!

With all this action and feedback around the Daily Challenge, it's only right we add a few features, share our [Metric] Developers' tips and tricks on achieving a high score, and plan our next [Metric] vs. Shapers Showdown.

🆕 Daily Challenges - Takedowns:

ALL score marked enemies become exposed during takedowns.

A few players have asked for more predictable scoring when it comes to enemy takedowns. This new change means all score marked enemies (⭐) will go into exposed state when they die, making it both easier and faster to maximize combat scores. By eliminating a layer of luck or chance, this will better reward player awareness and decision-making.

🏆 Achievements:

Carpe Diem: Earn a total of 3000 points in Daily Challenges.

What's the point if there isn't something shiny to show for your success, am I right?

🤖 [Metric] Tips & Tricks:

While details will always vary between unique Daily Challenges, here's the general advice from our top-scoring [Metric] developers:

Get your health as high as possible for the end of the run. Perks that grant more max HP also grant more points (as long as you don't lose it 😏 )
Take down starred enemies. Marked enemies will enter an exposed state and you will score additional combat points if you manage to kill an enemy with a punch. Be careful not to let your ricocheting bullets or pulsing grenade effects accidentally kill your exposed enemies before you land that punch!
Replay the daily challenge. Having a good synergy within your build is key to getting a high score. Replay the challenge and reroll your choices to see all your options and figure out your best course of action.
Complete optional challenges. Optional challenges give you a lot of points and equipment that could be the deciding factor of a run.

Is the curse mechanic really a good one?

The punishment for getting hit is already to lose shield or HP, but for curse to then pretty much cut that HP just because 'difficult' while not even having much of a remedy just seems really dumb frankly. Sorry I got hit be the "wrong" projectile in the hectic gameplay of this game, I guess. I'm only at the first 'heat' level (and frankly it's already annoying me to no end), but if this gets much worse, I definitely won't try and complete the game on higher difficulties... Please tell me I'm missing somet...

As a new player, this is annoying

Why do i have to re-check every room ive cleared if i missed any chests? Place them all by the entrence as a reward and lock them until room is clear Why do i have to press F to open chests and open doors? Just make them open as i approach The weakness of a Rogue Lite is that you keep seeing the same rooms over and over cuz of the nature of the gameplay loop, then dont force me to stay in the rooms for more work after the fun part is done (the combat) I want to move to the next room ASAP, not be a busy ...

We're releasing a bug fix today for a few players that got stuck at the loading screen on game launch. If you encounter a similar issue after this release, please reach out to <support@metricempire.com> and we'll get it sorted right away.

Ok, how do you level up cores?

I'm struggling to get my wind core to level 4. I've tried it as my primary, I've tried it as my secondary. I've tried beating magistrate first, I've tried beating her last. I've tried low difficulty runs, I've tried it even up to delta level runs. I've tried everything I can think of but I just can't get that last little bit of exp....

just won my first run, some feedback

its a good game! its suprisisngly solid. other then one instance where i fell through the world and cant replicate how (and i got failsafe'd back into the map) most things feel fun in one way or another. each core is super unique to a playstyle and feels fresh, and each run feels like a fun romp if i let it be. even when losing hitting enemies with takedown is chonky and satisfying. my only real complaint is wind magistrate feels a lot stronger then other bosses. maybe make tornadoes reflectable or somethi...

This week, we've partnered with The Backlogs to perform a challenge run of Battle Shapers with only starting equipment, meaning they had to defeat all three Overlords and VerOs using only what's available in the Hideout at the start of their run.
