We're deploying a hotfix to resolve some issues that popped up after the latest patch. Patch notes:

- Added missing quest marker to Witowir during "Proof of Existence" quest
- Crafting a Master Quality item will no longer cause the game to crash
- "Protect the Flame" quest can now be continued without issues

Additionally, we have updated quest marker icon, so that it's more visible on the map.

Patch 19 is finally here! It not only brings important fixes, but also new features that we’re sure you’ll Enjoy. So without further ado, here are the patch notes:

• Fixed an issue that could prevent Patrice’s quest from continuing
  
• Fixed an issue that could prevent the completion of Long Wished Deliverance quest
  
• Fixed an issue that caused Cat to occasionally not speak with you during the Cat’s Quest
  
• “What about my apprenticeship” quest can now be completed
  
• Multiple UI fixes

• As announced in the recent sneak peek, we are introducing quest markers! We would like to state yet again that we are against guiding players by hand and getting rid of the feeling of discovery. As such, we consider the current implementation to be a fair compromise. Of course, you are more than welcome to share your thoughts!
  
• Performance improvements. A new round of these should make the game play smoother. We improved performance and upscaling, Frame Generation will now work with every upscaler. TSR and FSR are recommended over DLSS, if possible. However, please do keep in mind minimum system requirements!
  
• Related to the above: Added a launcher that will let you select DX11 or DX12. The latter is recommended, but using the former could provide better results, depending on your config.
  
  !! IMPORTANT !! If you play on Steam Deck, ALWAYS select DX12!
  
  
• Controller update. We have made changes and improvements to controls for players who prefer playing on a controller. Any feedback is appreciated!

With Patch 19 coming soon to a Fern Island near you, we wanted to showcase its most important feature - quest markers. Our game was always supposed to provide an experience that rewards exploration and doesn’t babysit the player, letting them discover everything on their own. We do, however, realize that our approach to this might’ve been a little too hardcore, and as such, we will ease up a bit.

You received a quest, managed to get the required items, but don’t remember where the NPC was? Now you can simply consult your map.

Struggling to find a location where you can obtain quest items? Is the quest description not enough? Or are you trying to find a specific location? Open your map and look for yellow circles!

And if you don’t want to rely on the map so much, check your compass - when you’re close to a quest npc or objective, it will be marked!

We hope that these changes will make the exploration of Fern Island even more fun!

Additionally, we have focused on texture optimization, so you can expect your game to perform better. Do still keep in mind minimum system requirements, though!

And finally expect plenty of bugfixes, mostly related to quests, both big and small ones!

Today, we bring you another major patch, which includes important bugfixes and many fantastic improvements, that will surely make your stay on Fern Island more enjoyable. The patch notes are as follows:

• Patrice quest can now be progressed correctly.
  
• “Protect the Flame” quest cutscene will now play correctly.
  
• Fixed dialogue with your cat next to an altar.
  
• Cuflows no longer change genders after adding them to a coop.
  
• Yellow Paffti no longer become invisible.
  
• Fixed bed edit prompt.
  
• Visual improvements for wild plants.
  
• Furniture is no longer misaligned when you place it.

• Implemented optimization, mostly focused on textures. That way, the game will run smoother, and take less space on your drive! If you meet the game’s minimal requirements, but you still had performance issues, we encourage you to give the game another try.
  
• The days are now longer, and the sunset is delayed.
  
• You can now optionally activate an alternate interaction system in Options, which means you can interact with objects in front of you without relying on camera (makes it easier for controller users).
  
• Multiple fixes for the controller, mostly related to prompts and UI navigation.
  
• Implemented “change focus" option - if there are multiple objects in front of us, clicking "change focus" switches the interaction between the objects within range.
  
• After offering 10 favourite dishes in Paffti shrines, a Golden Paffti store will unlock, and sell random items.
  
• Re-balanced some in-game prices according to our internal testing and your feedback.
  
• You can now milk Tzoru! Simply purchase a Milker from Cassandra.
  
• You can now retrieve items from all chests in the crafting window (so you don't have to collect them manually). You can also exclude certain chests from this system if you want.
  
• Updated the system of adding essences to plants.
  
• Added message boards that will let you know which plants are available in a region, and in which season.
  
• You can now get higher quality gems from Rotottle.
  
• Implemented “selling day” - each saturday, the number of customers for your stall will increase.
  
• Added new furniture to the store.
  
• Added more Blueberry bushes.
