Greetings, Scholars!

Don your fanciest cloak and your pointiest hat, and ready your spell tome as you step into Scholar of the Arcane Arts 1.0, available March 11 on Steam.

1.0 Launch Key Features

Spell rebalancing: Fireball can now combine with other spells; Bubbler can be cast while moving; Seren’s Falling Star requires half as many spell hits to change form; Decaying Touch will always poison; Tar’s Rock cooldown has been reduced; and Solaris absorbs more spells per level.
Less floors, quicker gameplay: Each domain has been reduced from 3 floors to 2 floors. This significantly reduces the time it takes to complete each run ~ 1.5 hours to ~ 40 minutes.
Bigger damage, bigger numbers: Damage numbers increase in size in relation to how much damage you’re doing
Additional updates: Vera’s Shop now displays current monster levels, and the Sky Castle puzzle can now be completed with walls.

Start up bug

I searched if someone has the same problem as me but it seems that I may be the first. Just bought the game freshly installed it and i start it. In the main menu i can only select the rectangles but ther is no word in them. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and the same issue was still there. Anyway i pressed the top left rectangle which I imagined it was the play button and someone started talking while I was still at the main menu. Closed the game reoppened it and same thing happened again this t...

Can you fix the modal input so it accepts whatever device presses we send, rather than only one device at a time and flickering/stuttering back and forth if we try playing with both at the same time? Being modal means if we fix the weird cursor-pushing play via Steam Input, we have to switch to WASD input and rebind everything to kbm, losing analog movement and all screen prompts, which also makes menus confusing, since like most games, this one doesn't inform Steam Input when we're switching between menu...

1.0 can't come out fast enough :'( but when it does do, I'm hoping for 10,000 new spells, 5,000 more bosses, and workshop support. :3

No Key Rebinding

Hello, Playing the Beta, please add full Key Rebinding option. Arrows are "fine" to move, but i want/need to change to my layout and preferences. ie, i would play with PUIE (ESDF on a qwerty layout), and use F1 F2 F3 etc to select spells instead of 1 2 3 etc. Use thumb mouse button to interact instead of F, etc... Also for lefty, disabled, etc, key rebinding is a very important accessibility QoL aspect of any game as soon as possible. Thanks...
