TL;DR – Kept me engaged for nearly 100 hours, but ultimately left me disappointed. There's a lot of untapped potential.

I first downloaded I Am Future when it initially launched and thought it was decent. I decided to revisit it recently after its full release, started a fresh save, and... it still felt just okay. If you're someone who enjoys gathering and managing resources, you might find it satisfying—but the pacing is pretty slow, even after you've unlocked nearly every upgrade and item available.

As someone who really enjoys the organizational and simulation aspects of these kinds of games, I was hoping for more. Unfortunately, the storyline felt anticlimactic, almost as if it was rushed out just to meet a deadline. Once the main story wraps up, there's not much left to do unless you're keen on upgrading every machine or just want to go fishing. Even then, the motivation to keep playing starts to fade.

One thing that could have made a big difference is a true build mode—something that lets players create and customize their own shelters. There’s a solid foundation here, and the game clearly has room to grow, but in its current full release state, it feels underwhelming.
