Added the Pet Shop. The current goods generation algorithm is simple and will be improved in the next update.
Added a star count display to the upper right corner of the lobby interface.

How To Get Beta Branch

1. Right-click on Geometry Arena 2 in your Steam library.
2. Click on "Properties".
3. Click on "Betas" tab.
4. Select "beta" from the drop-down box in the top right。
5. UPDATE AND PLAY!

Notice

Please be aware that the beta branch may contain potential bugs, which could even result in save file corruption. Ensure you regularly back up your saves.

Here is the path of save file:
%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\011 Games\Geometry Arena 2

If you encounter any bugs, please report them to me. I will fix them immediately (if I'm awake).

Player damage feels weak

Player damage, regardless of perks, talents, modules etc. feels pretty weak. I feel like enemies HP scale a little too fast compared to what i can do to increase my own attack power. I'd be interested if others feel the same.

Playing GA1 and 2 back to back: Impressions

To get a better feel for what has changed in GA2, i booted up GA1 again. Keep in mind, this is heavily based on personal taste and opinion. GA2 has improved in several ways. Controls feel a lot tighter and less floaty. The UI overall is a lot cleaner and visually appealing. While certainly a matter of taste, the color block aesthetic suits it very well too. But i also think that GA2 is a big step backwards in terms of gameplay. GA1's shop system is, again, in my opinion, leagues better than GA2's upg...

Tank builds feel lackluster:

In my opinion, tank builds feel miserable to try and play around with the current formulas. "Thorn" scales off (Attack Power * Attack Speed * Move Speed) and requires you to collide with a boss. This is mainly problematic as colliding with an enemy deals contact damage, which will either take away HP or Shield. This part is obvious. However, the crux is in the fact that to try and counteract that, you'd try and get upgrades to mitigate the damage taken by increasing your health. Howeve...

Slightly adjusted the weight of some general pet skills.
Mines, Grenades, and Barrages created by pet skills will now appear with Friend Color, but their damage will not be tracked separately.
Direct damage-dealing pet species skills (Bomber, Gunner, Spellshot, and Sweeper) will now appear with Friend Color and have their damage tracked in a separate category.
Added mouse interaction animations to some tab switching buttons.
Improved the pet fusion interface: Material and result icons are now displayed in the top-left corner. And you can now view information about the materials or the fusion result on the right-hand card, and preview the prediction.

Fixed a code logic error in Lucky Combo that caused game crashes when Luck exceeded 90.
Lucky Combo no longer consumes Charge stacks.
Redesigned the pet fusion interface for clarity and ease of use. Further improvements to this interface are planned.
Pet Support's base skill cooldown: 30 seconds → 18 seconds.
Added a line break to pet species skill descriptions.
Added 2 new pets: Bomber and Sweeper.
Rotated the outer hexagon of the pet Spellshot's icon by 90 degrees.
