anyone know how they got it to launch or does it not work on more recent graphic cards?

Hey guys, I had the game running fine on my steam deck, but there was a version mismatch between my desktop and my deck where the deck wasn't running with the DLC installed. I re-downloaded it, but now I'm getting an "updating executable" stalling message whenever I try to launch it. I've verified the files, tried re-downloading countless times, clearing downloaded cache, launching in desktop mode, and tried different versions of proton to run the game through -- nothing seems to work. My game crashed about 9 hours into the game to desktop back in the main city near beginning of game. Now whenever I try to continue my game it goes to the loading screen then crashes to desktop before loading the game. Anyone have any help?

I bought it on sale for around $3 but it's not worth it if I can't even play it. I have played it up to The Sanctuary twice now and saved and quit. I can't get back into the game to save my life. Nothing I do works. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it after the first time I couldn't get my saved game to load. Verifying the files didn't do anything.
