The speed boost in the upper left corner seems to be bugged for me all of the sudden. It is set to 1X and never changes. If I load a old save that's a few weeks old, it starts again. Is there a fix or am I hosed and losing weeks of progress?

I don't really understand how to get loot. I unlocked the theory tab but can't seem to do anything with it without having "loot". I have seen the "loot progress multiplier" bar at the bottom of the battle screen but it always says x1.5555555 (0/5000) no matter what I do. In addition, if i click on it, a different menu shows up, but if I close the menu, the bar does not reappear and I cannot re-access the menu without restarting the game. Am I missing something? Seeing a lot of advice online to grind Super Pi for ATK and DEF grinding but Quantum Quirk has drops that are an order of magnitude better from what I'm seeing. What should I be grinding for this purpose, given ATK ~e38 and DEF ~e37? Also if Super Pi is not good for combat stat gain, what is it good for? Study progress dropped off extremely quickly when I farmed it....

With the Custom Scavenge setting I can set it to somewhere around 5-20 million (depending on what I'm fighting) and the rewards seem to scale directly with that number. Is there any reason to use Nuke mode when this is effectively doing the same thing for my rewards, without increasing the difficulty that much? (I do a little bit of Nuke right off the bat to get the reward multiplier up to its apparent softcap and then switch over to scavenge mode)...
