The general ooze of the game you'll feel throrought the playthrough spits up tons of personality and it really shows how this was a passion project. Glad the game pops up with gameplay variety whenever they had the window for it and kept the main focus of the plot clear.

However I wanna criticize one major point of the game which didnt really delivered as much as I wished it would, and that is :


The moment which this entire thing hyped up for ended up being pretty boring and easy. Like the only things you gotta watch out for are the lamps and occasionally the spiked gates, For how considerably sizeable the labyrinth is, its pretty empty. Yeah you could say it helps on the eeriness of the section, but like if you're fast enough at hiding you're gonna encounter Silvie only once in the entire section off that lamp at the end which is unavoidable, and its even more ironic on how stupidly easy you can just avoid Silvie by waiting her to turn back and go down in which thats the moment where you can just do a hog run to the corridors and she wont even spot you. What I truly wanted from this section was more threats, maybe stuff like bear traps or an enemy that shuts off your lantern, just generally have Silvie more present on the map because damn the only challenge I found in this section was trying to figure out how to get to the end and not get lost.


Overall I enjoyed my time with Bunsy Funsy's Mortage Backyard, it was a fun ride which is very good for the disgustingly cheap price you can get this game for, especially on sales. Support indie developers from every possible corner you can grab because they'll never fail to deliver and its a reason why for so many people the main blood of good games comes from independent teams trying to show off their fun idea through a passion project, unlike triple A studios nowadays which desperately chase the shortest pinch of revenue they can scrounge out of their players.

So kids, what did we learn from this?
