Dagger?

Anyone managed to find the dagger/knife? I reached episode 3 and found the source of the corruption in the comms array penultimate map, but didn't have the knife to stab into the computer like the Sgt tells you to. Has anyone found it? Also, does the railgun actually do anything? I never found a use for it for the 'green barriers' as it didn't seem to do anything. The hammer worked for the barriers that I expected the railgun to work on. Got every item and secret but never seemed to use the railgu...

My Impressions So Far - I'M REALLY LOST AT HOW I'M FEELING HELP ME

So this isn't a final opinion, as I haven't finished the game (plz keep that in mind lol), and of course if you fully love it that's awesome, I REALLY want to feel the same way So basically I'm REALLY trying to love this game, but I don't know if I can. Unlike other people it seems, my issues seem to be that I really like the idea of the game's story and some of the visuals and all that, but I don't know if I like the weapons, controls and some aspects of the combat. Is multiplayer a no go?

I've liked GHOSTWARE so far, and I understand that the whole shtick is that it's a story-driven singleplayer Arena FPS. But at the same time I kinda feel that I'd love to play against other people online. At least in this case if the multiplayer fails there'll always be a fully fledged singleplayer experience....
