I absolutely love this game! I got this game before it released a couple of years ago excited for the full game and i’m glad i waited! This game uses its mechanics to the fullest and is super unique! For once i played a platformer metroidvania and didn’t feel like wanting to rip out my hairs because i was having fun, although the only downside is that it feels a bit too easy at times, but it feels so rewarding to finish that one platforming part in a level. For me, i’d have to say a lot of the leaf gliding parts did that for me. Last thing is that this game’s story omggggg! I love the direction it goes and honestly it feels like i’m watching a character not under social norms and concepts yet he’s so kind, but then you learn that he is fully killing all the enemies. Even though at this point in the story, when i kill the first major boss i actually felt awful instead of rewarded because i learned that i killed the person behind the mask and i was looking forward to seeing more of her. I haven’t played through the whole game but over all in my book, this game is a 10/10.

the game was amazing, the combat felt great (though a little hectic at times), the platforming felt amazing (though at the end it was getting slightly repetitive).
the final boss was great, and incredibly fun to fight, though that wave attack felt a bit annoying, and im not sure if there was a final phase or not after he started going up, cause i just latched onto him and followed him up.
my only big gripe with it is that the ending felt a little anticlimactic, and unfinished, as if there was more to be done with the lil guy. like some sort of redemtion arc, that could have been left up to the players imagination.
all around, insanely good game, very fun, and with an incredible story.
my headcannon will always be that the lil dude can transform out of the butterfly, and had a redemption arc by helping the people after the ingame story ended.
