Its 10pm and I'm in what is pretty clearly the final dungeon, there can't be too much more left I figure so even though its a work night I decide to press on and finish this thing. At this point the game has already thoroughly impressed me, I went in without much in the way of expectations and what I had found was already an excellent JRPG with great characters, an interesting story, and superb pacing.

Its 2am, the credits are rolling. I am crying, sitting there wondering how I could possibly be expected to fall asleep after what I have just been through.

This game is incredible, if you aren't put off by the h-content you will find one of the best JRPGs ever made. If you are put off by that the game does have an option that censors it, though you'll still be pretty aware of it. You will also need the patch from the publisher's website regardless of how you feel about the hentai.

This is easily in my top 3 game of all times.
The story is insanely good, definitely the best I have ever seen in a video game (and by quite the margin), all the character are very interesting and lovable. The game took me 40-ish hours (i did most of the side content but i didn't bother with achievements) and throughout the 40 hours it was incredibly fun. The balance between calm moments and hype/sad (I did cry quite a few times) moments is really well done!
Even thought its only a RPGmaker game the design of the different locations and the map is really cool, level design is great, art style is very good I believe and the musics (despite only 7 original songs, which are amazing by the way) fits really well and is very great.
Also there are not a lot of mandatory R-18 which is nice (there are quite a lot of optional ones though in case you are here for that).
Gameplay was well done and I actually had fun. The game is pretty easy overall, but there are optional fights which offer interesting challenges!

Overall, 10/10 incredible story and fun gameplay, don't let the fact that it is an eroge prevent you from playing it, you will not regret it.

PS: Install the NSFW patch on Kagura games otherwise you will not have access to the full story. If R-18 content is a problem for you, you will be able to deactivate R-18 content in the game parameters (also I believe there are fan made SFW patches which restore some characters sprite from the SFW version, Yes I am looking at you Ange!).
