I was really excited for this game because I love cooking games and I love XSEED in general and I thought this would be an easy slam dunk. Overall, I do enjoy the game. The monsters are cute, the townsfolk are adorable and their dialogue is hilarious - though I don't understand the way XSEED is still making adult female characters look like kids in 2025.

However, if you don't like grinding this game is not for you. The whole game is mostly just cooking and delivering repetitively and fetch questing the same items from the same three items on repeat. I don't mind that for a brain-off game, but it's definitely not the most immersive game in the world. The inventory space is limited, which is frankly annoying given that selling cooking ingredients isn't a great deal. Also, it could massively benefit from some actual cooking or cleaning minigames just to break up the grind.

The NPCs are bland and barely have any dialogue. The town doesn't feel alive at all. The gameplay is grindy and repetitive.
