The A350 has arrived and is now available for Aerofly FS as part of the Aircraft Add-On DLC (free for existing customers)!

The Airbus A350 is the most modern aircraft to date, a completely new design built from carbon fiber materials and equipped with highly efficient high-bypass engines. AUTO FLT A/THR LIMITED ECAM MESSSAGE

Hi, When using A/THR in any airbus plane, I keep getting an AUTO FLT A/THR LIMITED ECAM message, it then goes away after every couple seconds and then comes back 2 seconds later. The ecam steps tell me to put the THR LEVERS to CLB but they are in that position, and when I put it to e.g. MCT then CLB again it shows the ECAM message again?, how do I fix this? I also hear a clicking sound like it clicks the clear button? Thanks, John...

Is there any infiormation about the current and future developments of the sim? An estimated lifespan of the game ? I've read in March some airports have been added. Are there other regions HD DLCs than the USA and Europe in the work? More detailed satellite textures? dynamic weather?...

Massive A380 Update now in Beta Testing

We've just released a new beta version for Aerofly FS 4 which adds a lot of new features and functionality to the A380 in preparation for the upcoming Airbus A350 as well as some improvements to the A320 family, a new startup sound on the 737 MAX and other minor bug fixes.

A380 New Features Overview

OIS - Onboard Information System (OIS), electronic flight bag (EFB) with takeoff and landing performance calculation and en-route moving map for situational awareness.

ANF / OANS - Airport Navigation Function (ANF) a.k.a. Onboard Airport Navigation System (OANS), an airport map on the navigation display (ND) with runways, tarmac, terminal outlines and most importantly interactive menus to set the runway exit. Also includes caution popup messages on PFD/ND when approaching a runway.

BTV - Brake To Vacate (BTV) auto-brake feature to slow the aircraft down to taxi speeds at a selected taxiway exit during landing.

A380 Improvements

The following systems received massive improvements:

PFD - Primary Flight Display:
Improvements to the Flight Mode Annunciator (FMA), GPWS warnings, short term managed speed target, vertical deviation readout, automatic flap retraction speed,...

ND - Navigation Display:
Departure or Approach identifier shown at the top, runway exit information (when BTV armed), grid MORA (minimum off-route altitude)

MFD - Multi-Function Display:
New pages for IRS, Fix Info, Status, EFIS and FCU backup, added destination EFOB, ETA, distance, ADF tuning, takeoff thrust derating, N1 noise abatement

EFIS CP - Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) Control Panel:
PUSH to set STD pressure (different to A320!), auto-range adjustment between ARC and ROSE/PLAN mode, multiple selection of CSTR, ARPT and VOR/NDB/WPTs

ECAM - Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitor (ECAM):
Improved flight-phase switching, more Warnings/Cautions for incorrect takeoff configuration, takeoff from taxiway or wrong runway, barometer cross-check,...

The Aircraft gross weight has changed, is now corrected in MFD and on SD common bottom info and computation of v-speeds (VLS, V1, VR, V2, F, S, V green dot, VAPP) was updated.

This simulator is a gem.
There are many planes out of the box, all well detailed with interactive 3D cockpit.
There are even planes that you won't see in other simulators by default like A350 and A380, and they are really good. Usually these are premium purchases planes in other simulators, but you get them out of the box.
For every plane there are a lot of default liveries with real world airlines.
Europe and USA scenery is available as free DLC and installed locally, but you get streamed Global scenery with airports for the rest of the world. The scenery looks good,
There is AI traffic that fills the world with life.
Fast loading time and flight setup. Easy configuration.

I imagine the VR experience is unrivaled here, but I am yet to try it myself.

Cons: no ATC simulation at all. And I think it doesn't have any good modding support, or at least I haven't noticed it.

Overall, this is my second go to simulator after X-Plane, as you can just fly and chill here.

!!! ATTENTION META QUEST USERS !!!

This game runs very good on Meta Quest 3 :)
I don't know about other quests, just buy a 3.
Runs best on medium or high graphics settings. Ultra works on good PCs.
Make SURE to have a good cable or a very good air link connection (good wi-fi, router is in the room)

Anyways, I really enjoy this game. The main selling point somehow is not the complex controls, but it should be. It has every control on an IRL plane, and all indicators, ALL, are functional. I also love the look of being high up at night looking down at lit up cities, it really sets the mood. You can also course through your hometown airport and landscape, or any airports as far as I know, which is pretty cool. All the airliners have plenty of liveries to play with, which is a neat touch even if you don't see it while flying. Sometimes I pretend to be European when I fly a Concorde (really cool that they have that).

There are plenty of setbacks, though. One, if there is multiplayer, I can't find it, so every flight the copilot seat is looking quite empty. No clue where the third person views in the screenshots came from. Two, as mentioned previously, radio controls don't work. I get that multiplayer is costly to implement, but it is sad that the controls take up a big portion of the cockpit on airliners they but don't do anything. It would be cool if they did it like VTOL with pre-recorded ATC voice lines to interact with. Three, the terrain. By default, 3D houses are generated on top of 2D satellite images. This works, but when you are flying over your hometown it is hard to spot landmarks because the houses don't usually match the image. Four, lack of airliners. There are plenty of aircrafts, but very few airliners in the base game. Five, I don't know if this is able to be changed in the graphic settings, but for every label in the cockpit for various controls, the resolution is really bad from far away, more than you would expect, but it becomes high quality when you look really close. Kind of weird.

Last, but absolutely not least, no control tutorials. There are "tutorial flights" but they are more just like basic routes with floating green guide markers to tell you where to go. If you are thinking about getting this game but don't think you'll know what you're looking at, I highly recommend playing VTOL VR or Microsoft Flight Simulator first.
