The Future of BLUE PROTOCOL

Today, Bandai Namco Online announced that they have made the difficult decision to end service on Blue Protocol. They will shut down their Japanese Blue Protocol servers in January 2025, and have ended plans to release the game in the West in collaboration with Amazon Games.

In their statement announcing the end of service, Bandai Namco Online said, “We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Amazon Games throughout the development of Blue Protocol, and both of our teams are disappointed that we will not be able to deliver the game to players around the world.”

We know this is disappointing news, and we share your disappointment. We love the world and characters of Blue Protocol, and we were excited to welcome players around the world into Regnas. We join Bandai Namco Online in expressing deep gratitude to the passionate fans who followed Blue Protocol development and participated in the Closed Technical Test.

Thanks For Playing: The Closed Technical Test Servers will Close Today

As the Closed Technical Test servers close at 2PM PT this afternoon (November 13), we want to thank everyone that took the time to participate. Our teams at Amazon Games, Bandai Namco Online, and Bandai Namco Studios greatly appreciate the passionate engagement, detailed feedback, and support shown by players.

“Thank you very much for participating in the Closed Technical Test and for your great cooperation in development,” said BLUE PROTOCOL Executive Producer Sokichi Shimooka. “We will work with our team to take the next step to make your BLUE PROTOCOL journey even more enjoyable. Please look forward to the next news.”

“Thank you to everyone who participated in the Closed Technical Test,” said Franchise Lead Mike Zadorojny. “While you were playing the game we were able to validate the work the Infrastructure Team has done to support players from around the Western territories and unlock the ability for all of them to play together.”

“When we next open the servers, we look forward to hosting a larger event that includes updates from the Japanese live environment.”

With the test ending, we’d like to remind everyone that the playtest is confidential. You may not disclose, in any form, content from this playtest, including any information about the game, its features, announcement date, and live release plan. Any breach of confidentiality will be treated seriously.

We look forward to further improving the gameplay experience and technical infrastructure through the feedback and data gathered in this test. BLUE PROTOCOL Closed Technical Test Extension

Throughout the BLUE PROTOCOL Closed Technical Test we’ve gained valuable data on the server infrastructure and gameplay experience. We’ve also continued to gather feedback from players. Thanks to enthusiastic participation, the Closed Technical Test will be extended through November 13. This extension will also allow us to run additional stress tests. Please continue to share your candid feedback as we all work together to deliver the best experience possible at launch.

By participating in the Closed Technical Test, you agree to keep it strictly confidential. You may not disclose, in any form, content from this playtest, including any information about the game, its features, announcement date, and live release plan. Any breach of confidentiality will be treated seriously. We hope you enjoy playing and appreciate your feedback.

Please do not engage in inappropriate in-game behavior during this test (spamming, cheating, exploiting glitches, etc). This test is for our server technology and does not represent the player experience we will offer at launch. If you witness any inappropriate in-game behavior, please notify us. We will test an updated version of the game at a later time.

Another game killed because of Amazon's mistakes.

If the game had released instantly in the west, instead of having to sit and collect dust for Amazon's DEI changes, the game would have survived. Braindead people listening to Amazon, what the ♥♥♥♥ were they thinking. This was the only MMO I was looking forward to, and I'm sure I'm not the only one....

If it is not for the Amazon censorship then the game would would have been release and the BP devs able to make some amount of money to cover their lost and have time to fix the gameplay-system. Blue Protocol had become a second victim of Amazon after Lost Ark who's now facing $75 million lawsuit from the local asset manager who couldn't make enough income to cover the financial risk may bankrupt the Korean dev. Goodbye Blue Protocol <3

There were a lot of us in the West who wanted to live like in an isekai with blue protocol, there were a lot of us who wanted to play/live in an anime, maybe the overproduction in Japan of manga/anime games around this universe made Asian players not to find different or better than what we offer them there, but here we wanted you BP.
