Isn't working Breaking the rocks, what am I doing wrong?

Where I have to prepare the barrel of TNT the dog always catch me, I'am always getting killed, I even hit him tree for times with the hammer, I can't get trough this part of the game, this for hours !!! So the game is finished here for me. Terrible this part !!! I give it up !!! Is there no solution to skip this part !!!...
