I open the game, but the key doesn't appear.

I launched the game for the first time. No pass ever showed up and my steam says first time playing it. Where can I find the pass at?

I bought the full game and shared the friend's pass CD-key with my friend. He activated it and downloaded the friend's pass version. I start up the friend's pass version and click "Don't play alone" -> "Shared story". When I invite my friend the game says "Your friend does not own the full game" and kicks him out. Could you fix/clarify? What's the point of a friend's pass if I can't play with my friend?...

I made my friend install the free friend pass version of the game, and i have both versions installed, and im playing on the free friend pass version. when i try to invite it says we both need the full game. is this a thing or can i not play with my friend anymore?...
