Weirdly sorta not-bad as far as deliberately low-effort April Fools games go, but I think my issue with this actually is the fact that there's at least some effort put into it because it kinda has me thinking "well, why not go the rest of the way?". If this had been flagrantly obnoxious and odious it'd fit in with the Postal ethos, but, and I can't believe I'm saying this... it's weirdly not nearly crude enough to really feel like a joke which is something I'd never think I'd say about Postal-related anything.

The basic gameplay is the sort of typical top-down shooter you make in a 1 day Unity or Unreal tutorial and that part's fine, I can take that as part of the gag. They straight up say that the enemies only run toward you and that's enough of a beginner game-dev trope that I can see it for the joke it is. The rooftops level is laid out decently enough that it actually is a bit of fun to kite the horde around and see how long you can last.

The real problem is it's kinda boring and not really even funny in the typical edgelordy Postal way where it's so crass it becomes inoffensive. The rooftop level is alright, but the other levels are so large you can basically get a gun, stay in one spot, and spam it till infinity without any real challenge. The game only seems to end when you die so once you realize how to cheese it there's not really any point to playing anymore which might be the grounds for an okay gag if it weren't for the fact that some degree of effort is put into the presentation, the weapons, the guns. A little more work and you wouldn't be too far off to having a proper successor to the original Postal/Redux so I sort of want to see what this'd be like given some proper effort. Once you get past the poop jokes on the menu, it's weirdly tame, no blood, not even poop really. Why not go all out and make like, a poop gun that sprays diarrhea all over the place? Now that would be Postal! Why not have the guns make fart noises instead of gunshots? Why not make it deliberately glitchy and unplayable instead of a half-finished version of a good game? Have some awful text-to-speech voices! Be transgressive! A Postal April Fool's game should be "so-bad-it's-good" not "so-competent-it's-boring"!
