There is nothing more scummy than what has been done here. They should be celebrating their release of this game and instead they are out of a job. What a disgusting worthless thing to do. I am in my 40's and grew up on the Mana series (the PS1 version being my favorite; i've played it multiple times). SUPER excited for this game. I am boycotting netease this is disgusting. DO NOT buy this junk from these monsters. Ban me I do not care: F U Netease. Disgusting. Worthless. Vile. Pathetic....

Story made me quit the game after 1.5 hours.

In over 30 years of gaming i never experienced a so incredibly infuriating and bad story. Everyone is happy to die, yay! Absolutely no nuance to it for the sake of making it "kid-friendly". No second guessing, no contemplating of the consequences of, you know, literally dying. Like what the ♥♥♥♥ Val? Your happiest day is when your girlfriend has been chosen to die? Am i missing something? I can absolutely not relate to characters who are brainwashed to love being sacrificed without questioning it ...

This can be fun to play, but man does it love to waste your time a lot of the time. Here's a quick breakdown:
Pros:
* Beautiful colorful scenery
* Fun but simple combat
* Interesting story elements, but...

Cons:
* Really bad execution on those story elements
- further note, biggest gripe. Some bigger ideas really dealt with using kiddy gloves/conclusions
* Horrendous writing - I started skipping cutscenes because I didn't want to hear character belabor a point over and over
- further note, some bad/annoying voice acting, I think due to direction not talent
* Incredibly tedious side content... and main content

I didn't enjoy it. I have no idea why I spent so much time on it, something is wrong with me.
