I cannot complete the section where you need to cheer up Mrs. Gabberley. help :c

After I collect all the material to build the beach, my characters turn invisible. I was able to get Wallace upstairs and he was visible then. Not sure what happened or if this problem is common, but I probably won't play again until someone helps me out or has a fix. I'm on Windows 10...

Every time i start new game and it go to where Gormit is looking a paper about Blackpool until when Wallace calling for help. When Gromit rushed to basement door and look at it then nodded his head. When he start to move into Basement then game freeze exaclty the same spot every time i start new game. Any help please. I have played 1st ep of this game fine with no bug and problems. Just this ep has freezing problem....

The game doesn't save or refuses to continue. Starting over every time and completing the thing in one go is unacceptable.
