Why did this game die out? I can't find a live server full of players—only bots

Well, after finally leaving Fastpath (since it is going to be closed down for good), I've noticed that there are other servers, but they don't have that many players. If anyone could help me to find a good server for Deathmatch, I would be really appreciated! Otherwise, I might have to make my own......

Has anyone got these bots to auto spawn on your server yet? hl2mp_bot_join_after_player 1 hl2mp_bot_quota_mode fill hl2mp_bot_quota 4 There is a cfg file in your cfg folder called "autumnbot.cfg". in that file is sv_cheats 1 echo "nb_debug behavior" nb_debug look hl2mp_bot_gravgun_only 0 hl2mp_bot_ignore_real_players 0 hl2mp_bot_add 4 and in the server.cfg i added exec autumnbot.cfg restarted server and 4 bots joined....

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue I am where HL2:D doesn't ship with an executable on Linux & Steam Deck, I've contacted Steam Support and they've said they're going to "escalate this issue to the appropriate team". That took six days of going in circles btw. This has only started happening since the 20th Anniversary Update, it seems. (See ProtonDB page) is anyone else having this issue??...

A lot of things are now broken. Should have just left the 20 years old game alone tbh.
