My time on this game on steam does not do justice to how long I played this game on the CD I still own. These games were some of my favorite of all time so there is some bias, but the main argument I see in these reviews is poor level design. This game does an excellent job is giving you a clear path forward, but sometimes lets you explore the world around you, too. I truly believe the majority of these complaints come from people conditioned by modern game quest markers and highlighted "Touch me" objects. In short, this is a game for someone to actually play, and not casually pay half attention to, with an excellent story that contains important information leading up to the next game in the series.
