Compare to Might and Magic VI, VII and Grimrock?

Someone who has played this, could you please compare it to M&M VI and VII for me? These are my favorite games. After watching some gameplay videos of Candlewind it looks like the interface is extremely tedious to use, the gameplay is extremely slow and boring, and the whole thing just looks unpolished. Litterally nobody liked it?

That bad huh? I, personally, have a very high tolerance for "Bad Games" but the reviews have said absolutely nothing good about this one. And this genre rarely has a story to go with it. Does anybody have anything GOOD to say about the game?
