Somebody please help me for the love of god. this game wont start and every time i press start it loads a little bit and then just goes back to saying press start. If anyone has a fix for this then i would get on my hands and knees and thank you with all of my very being....

Edit: Removed Linux from description as I haven't been able to get this working outside of the Steam Deck. Slave Zero doesn't work out of the box (and probably never will) but with a bit of work it runs great on the Steam Deck. This how-to assumes that you've got the Steam version of the game installed. ...but, it's not a third-person shooter. It's gonna be a side-scrolling fighting game. It seems fast-paced and has some unique visuals, but it's a genre that is far removed from the original Slave Zero. I'm assuming that, if this prequel sells okay, the developers might consider a proper sequel within the shooter genre. Look up Slave Zero X on Steam....

I've got the GOG version, but I was wondering if there's been any updates to this one that the GOG one doesn't have. Probably not, but it can't hurt to ask. Specifically, the screenshots look like 4:3 stretched to 16:9. Is there a way to fix that? Also, does it require any sort of compatibility mode or administrator privileges in Windows 7?...

So after like 30-45 minutes or so the game starts slowly but surely stuttering and losing fps. The stuttering also causes glitches like me dying when I still have health or falling trough the floor. Closing the game normally also becomes impossible, have to use task manager. Yeah, I can just close the game when it starts stuttering and then open it again but still pretty annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?...
