Do people still play this game?

I'm mainly asking if buying the core pack is worth it. The numbers I saw on steam charts weren't promising and that includes people exclusively doing com matches like me.

This game needed....

1v1 ranked. I don't get why quickplay 1v1 which is FUN. Then you go to ranked and gotta learn 3 characters. Fine but feel free when it isn't easy to get into.

Dead game?

Been queued up for almost 40 minutes after setting the to "Any opponent" option and still no match. Did everyone realize that the 6+ health pips infinite hyper armor characters are unfun to play against and just drop the game altogether?
