TLDR I'm getting slaughtered on anything but the techie with its rechargeable shield. For any other character, any mistakes result in health points slowly being eaten away until you die of attrition. The techie's shield allows you to recover from your mistakes, and on top of that its energy capacity gives you the damage-reducing buffs (5-40% damage reduction and the flat 20% damage reduction ones). Still a noob (been playing for a week and can't stop) but do let me know of any tips or things I am missing...
