I apologize if this has been asked before….I just DLd SH5 from Steam. When I try to start the game, I get a prompt that there is no internet connection. It seems to be checking for updates and can’t find the net. I have a strong WiFi signal. I am running Windows 11. Thanks in advance for any help……...

How can companies sell a game that was good, not worrying about updating for modern systems, and with no tech support at all, borders in a scam. I know this game and any related threads are pretty old, but does anyone understand how to use the mission editor? I am simply just trying to put a couple ships down and a submarine to sink them with but I can not find a guide or tutorial anywhere. I do not understand how to place things on the map. I have tried using an old Silent Hunter III guide but the UI does not line up so I get lost pretty fast. Any help would be appreciated!...
