For most people, the intended keyboard controls are 'Z' to jump, 'X' to shoot, and 'C' to use special abilities. I noticed that some people were using 'W' to jump assuming that's the default, but I just mapped the 'W' and 'S' keys to jump/shoot for anyone using a QWERTZ keyboard (i.e. German gamers.) Sorry about all the confusion. Having those two keys next to each other should make simultaneous jumping/shooting/movement much more fluid. Lastly, the keyboard controls are reconfigurable from the options ...
