Critter Crunch- Not Working

I've tried everything I can think of to get this working. I've read through the numerous threads but still nothing. I'm hoping someone can tell me or maybe the developer can chime in regarding this. I'm running Windows 11, there was nothing in the config file. I had attempted to open first to see if the config file would write itself but it didn't.
