Beautiful world, peaceful music. This game heals my soul

A beautiful relaxing point-and-click walking simulator that exudes a lifelike world with engaging characters. The mechanics are simple and this is easily a game for any age - young or old. The painting simulator makes this game unique; I wish that it picked up the different tea brew art concepts better and that there was more variety in artistic overlays and colors to choose from to help make the gamer's experience more unique. The music and stories are beautifully written and engaging. The architecture and game design was well thought-out & picturesque.

While the game has many pros, it's not without its fault. It's quite glitchy and buggy. A lot of gamers, will be turned off by the linear experience with limited progression or the fact that's is a 1st Person ONLY walking simulator with limited exploration. Some might find the 1PPV a little nauseating. There was also a limited amount of commissions and small unique areas for capturing paintings. I would have liked to have seen more items that you could place in the game to use in the players artwork. While it was not the intention of the game, you can place the raft, tent, and reedboat down to add texture and details to your art. It would have been nice to have additional items to make more varying artwork for players so that each player can create unique gaming mementos. There is also limited re-spawning of resources. You have to progress then go back over explored areas after ever major progression if you want to obtain a lot of resources to do a lot of artwork in the game. A hot tip is buying lots of Lyndowian brews from Nika in Lyndow to quickly up your inspiration. Last, but not least there are SAVE issues. Did your game autosave or did you really manual save? You have to constantly check your load box to make sure it was saved and did not glitch hindering your progression.

All-in-all, I give it a 7/10.

Incredible game with stunning visuals. I enjoyed exploring the world of Eastshade. The characters are well thought out, with many quests to complete. There is a bit of walking and back-and-forth in this game but there are some mechanics to ease the travel time later on in the game. I would say the game has plenty of replay potential, even more so if you don't find all of the locations, finish each quest or miss one of those candles! 8/10
