If you don't want the game looking both uninspired and blurry, then don't play in full screen. Puzzles are needlessly rigid, for instance making you look at the hints for a numeric code before you're allowed to even try and type it in.

Giving credit where it's due, the boss fights are decent. Your thoughts on the story depends on whether the subject matter resonates with you or not. Playing the whole game again for an extra cutscene at the end isn't worth it.

This is the first of four in the Strange Man series. I hope they get better, because I've bought the other bloody three. Buy on sale only if you're curious.

You know what? I'm going to be honest. I thought the story and characters were super corny in the beginning, but it gets so good in the later parts. I promise.

I originally thought I would write a Recommend review with the notion that it's "so bad it's good", because the MC and Sissi were so hilariously dramatic in my opinion. But then the writing seems to improve later on, and near the end of Scene 2, I started getting genuinely interested. I personally liked the ending too. The story felt complete and satisfying.

As for the gameplay itself, the puzzles weren't too hard imo, but they're not as easy as Mad Father. I've only had to look up answers twice through the whole game before I finished it. Note that I mainly play RPG Maker-like games for the story, not so much for the gameplay, so take that with a grain of salt (the game was made in Wolf RPG Editor, which is RPGM-like). If a more complex or action-packed gameplay is what you're looking for in an RPG, look elsewhere.

In conclusion, it was a good, classic RPG Horror game. I would recommend at least checking it out if you're interested in RPGM-like games like me!

Best of all, it's only $3 which is about the price of a soda + tax, so if you end up not liking it for whatever reason, you're not losing anything!

It's such a great horror game. I first heard about it back when PewDiePie played it, along with Paranoiac. Well worth the $3 spent on it, possibly worth more. The puzzles may stump you in some places, but that's what makes up most of the large amount of good content in the game. I found the puzzles to be interesting and fun. Most of them have an interesting connection to the story. Only downside I had is that the free version on the website would not run on my pc for whatever reason. So I was forced to buy this one in order to enjoy the game again. (But that's ok. I don't regret spending my money on this game. It's well deserved.)
