A little unhinged I would think. AI upscaling is a great tool. This isn't the same like completely generating an image. It's taking something made by a human and UPSCALING it. It's a GOOD thing. Hail AI.

I just find it unusual to get a patch after such a long time for a game that was already very stable. And I'm weary of the censoring done to games because of the modern audience sensibilities.

I remember this was a mess, they updated the game after many years with badly AI upscaled assets, and then I recall it was partially fixed last I checked. I think they added a way to turn off the textures but not FMVs? Anyway, that was a while ago, what is the situation now? Can you turn off all of the AI nonsense now? Is it possible by any chance to not even download the upscaled assets so I don't have to waste disk space on something I will never use? I will be happy if I can just completely disable all...
