After 13 years I've finally gone back and played through the only AC series, its worse and better than I remember. First the whole modern day timeline saga was interesting in the first few but it felt like they had no idea where the story was going to progress and it shows, Minerva and Juno just turn out to be what is essentially two teenage sisters who hate eachother, surprise surprise. Templars vs Assassins is interesting enough but it quickly turned into a cliche of whos really good and whos really bad, real riveting stuff here. All in all if you ignore that stuff everything else is pretty decent. The combat is still unrefined but is so entertaining too watch that I just don't care. Ubi will always be great at recreating times in history and making them feel alive and its no different here. Awesome soundtrack that I could actually listen to outside of gaming. All in all its a decent experience not as mind blowing as it was on release but it still holds up. Dont bother with Liberation nothing really happens and the protagonist is even more lifeless than Connor.
