my native monitor is 3440x1440. I've tried a few different resolutions but they are either squishy looking or, blown out. Any recommendations?

whenever there is a cut-scene or a dialog box comes up the game stalls for some time then resumes. I have absolutely no idea how to fix this. or anything about 4 cores or other fixes i have heard of. so i need a step by step solution.

Cant run the game propperly, compability mode vista service pack 2 wont work, i have to use windows 7 compability mode but then i cant change the resolution to my monitor 1440p 165hz, after clicking apply the game goes from fullscreen to a gray sqaure that sits in the top left corner, sound works but nothing else....

Guys, can anyone help? For me, both SC and SC:SA don't work normally. The games freeze with every action or sound, I tried different methods, and installed the native dx9, and set the sound to stereo, and I realized that in SC in the Windows version it works normally, but SC:SA still freezes.
