Why does my fighetrs keep going insane at like 80-75% their sanity is still intact?

Okay, maybe I'm crazy, but I can't find ANY way to save this game. I've tried as many of the function keys as I can, and nothing. I know there has to be one, cause so many people keep playing this thing. But I'm at a huge loss here. Not to mention, I don't even see any way to load a game. All it seems to want me to do is create a new one, and then have no way in heck of saving the thing when I want to quit. Please help! I'm at the wits end!...

I've seem screenshots on the internet/steam with character sprite without pixels. Is this just a sepater thing from the game itself or is there are another version/patch without pixels? P.S- On another topic, does our protagonist have a canon name? Alex doesn't sound really Japanese to me....

I found a backpack of sorts in the lab (inside a locker), giving me more item space, but after the characters talked revealing more about the story (right after the first "boss"), my item capacity went down one slot again! Also, Sachi carries a "Stylish Bag" that you cannot unnequip; it says that with it, item capacity goes up by 2, but she can only hold as many items as the rest of the party?...
