Starcraft 2!

sTiFahrir fought a 3-1 finals match against NCJazzLing, in a ZvZ playoff.

First match was Shakuras Plateau, both spawned top corners, and the name off the fight was "Broaches." Both fought back and fourth up to 2 bases with a good tug-of-war for the middle, and each having their prospective thirds denied by good scouting. Finally sTiFahrir's higher drone count won out, and was able to macro a larger roach army and make the final 2 pushes into JazzLing's base.

Second Match was Shattered Temple, close position spawns. sTiFahrir opened with an in-base-at-ramp hatch at 14, JazzLing opened ling speed. After a ling back and fourth in the middle, Jazz was able to break up sTiFahrir's ramp, and past his defending queen, and caused drone losses while baneling blasting his army of lings. From there JazzLing was able to wrestle map control and expand after sTiFahrir's roach counter attack. The final battle was at JazzLing's expo between his fresh roaches, and sTiFahrir's wounded roaches, leading to a gg from sTiFahrir.

Xel'Naga caverns staged the third match, where sTiFahrir opened with a 7 pool ling and offensive spinecrawler attack, surprising JazzLing. He defended well with drones and a couple lings, but his 14pool was just not soon enough to ameliorate the drone losses he took, leading to a quick win for sTiFahrir.


The ace match was at Metalopolis, with the 1 game leading sTiFahrir and 1 game down JazzLing spawnign in close positions. sTiFahrir chose to go for early aggession with banelings, while JazzLing chose to defend and macro. JazzLing had a solid defense of 2 queens on the ramp, a spine crawler and a 16 lings, but the defense was overrun by sTiFahrir's fully committed attack of 26lings and 5 banelings. All but 1 baneling blew on the queens, and the lings filed in. The final baneling blew in JazzLing's mineral line, weakinging a significant number of drones, which were summarily mopped up; leading to sTiFahrir's final win for the tournament and congradualtory gg's.
