Just a quick heads-up if anyone is curious why not much has happened here on Steam for quite a while. We moved all action to Discord as that is where our members hung out anyhow and prefer to schedule etc.
The community has steadily grown, and is every season seeing a mix of coaches joining ICBBL. This includes new coaches to the game and experienced coaches that haven't played in a private league before, or know of us from other private communities where we are actively helping Blood Bowl flourish.
Our main goal will always be for people to have good friends to play their games with, and to provide a drama free environment. Some coaches are incredibly competitive on top of that, while others are super casual. No matter what approach you may want to take in terms of competitiveness, please feel welcome to join our Steel League for fresh teams or come and play some non-competitive Wooden Ladder games (team development on still).
After a season of Steel League, you are welcome to continue to play in our pyramid-based and perpetual Bronze, Silver or Gold Leagues. We have a separate playoff for all levels, from Steel and upwards.
A key special rule for ICBBL is that we have banned the combination of Claw and Piling On. You may still have Mighty Blow and Piling On, or Claw and Mighty Blow. This has been done to promote a more diverse meta, and has shown itself to be very successful when looking statistically at the outcome from several years.

Are you promoting/continuing from last season?
An updated list will be kept in the Steam group: (https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/groups/icbbl/announcements/detail/2203893789575287543). You can reply there, or in this #promos-s20 thread.
You are allowed to have:
- one active team in Gold or Silver
- one active team in Bronze
- one fresh team in Steel (see separate signup post)
Bronze
Bronze League is a mid-point between Steel and Silver and any of your ICBBL teams from Steel or in retirement from Gold/Silver, or a cup can be promoted to Bronze as long as at the start of a season the TV of that team is not higher than 1500 (including any cash). In this case mark your team as "Bronze".
Silver
In case the TV of your team is higher than 1500 or you wish to promote directly to Silver (must have matches in addition to Steel) mark your team as "Silver".
Continue in Gold/Silver
If you just want to continue with your Gold/Silver team, mark your team as "continue in Gold/Silver".
Retiring
If you are retiring your team, use "retiring".

What is expected from you?
If you choose to play in ICBBL season 20 with one or more teams, here is what will be expected of you:
-You are committing to playing the entirety of Season 20. The season will likely kick off on the 18th of August, and will run for 8 or 9 games played over approximately 10 weeks (7 weeks of round robin/wissen, 2-3 weeks of playoffs).
-If you are entering Bronze, you must adjust TV of your team including getting rid of money and/or players if the TV is above 1500 including any money (including any loners needed to get to 11 players).
-If you are entering Silver, expect to play against well developed teams.
-If you continue in Gold/Silver your league might change depending on your results in Season 19. You will be expected to participate in Season 20 regardless of the division you are placed in (i.e. no dropping out if you demote).
If you retire a team, here is what you can expect:
-The team will be permitted to join the Wood League, you can use the “friendly-matchmaking” channel in discord to arrange matches with other coaches.
-That team will only be permitted to join the pyramid at a future date if it meets the criteria in section 6.3.2. of the league #rules .
Let us know ASAP what your intentions will be for season 20.
