Started playing CS2 to relive my glory days from CS:GO.
15 seconds into the first match, I was flashbanged by my teammate, shot in the back by another one, and called a “bot” by someone who sounds like they haven’t finished middle school.
Felt just like home. 🥲

Graphics are cleaner, smokes are smarter than me, and the only thing that hasn’t changed is my ability to whiff every shot while panicking.
Also, big shoutout to the guy who yelled “defuse, bro!!” while I was already defusing.

10/10 would queue with four strangers who refuse to use voice chat but will type “ez” after losing.

Pros:

New engine, same pain

Tactical gameplay

You now lose just as beautifully in 144Hz

Cons:

I have aged, the 12-year-olds have not

Still no therapy button

My teammates may be AI generated

Verdict: CS2 cured my happiness but increased my reflexes. Worth it.
