I need more hours on this game to start.

Okay ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, im about 22 years late but that's okay, because here is the 2020 review of HALF LIFE.

Okay guys, do not fear the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, realize when this game was made before you comment, if you're so pissy about that, go buy black mesa.

I'm sure 90% of you got this game for free at some point in your time because this game is like 99 cents, literal toll change.

Lets start with the positives:
Great story
For the time, had an awesome game engine
The physics of golden source are really good, I am glad they continued onto Source 2.
MULTIPLAYER

The negatives:
It's definitely confusing, this game has alot of objectives, and you're on your own for the rest of the game. This can be a real challenge, even I still face if I have the difficulty on hard, as the game is long and you only get a few scientists and personel along the way to tell you like a short story before you're alone again.
The graphics, of course
Dead multiplayer, theres like a max of 3 servers with players
Multiplayer can only be played for so long before you sit there and are like, ok so back to modern warfare

Regardless of all this, this game is definitely a must try no matter what, the story line just gets better from here. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who is willing to give it a shot, with an action packed 90's classic! Oh, and by the way, it won game of the year, so theres my evidence this game rocks.

So, Valve finally did it, after years of waiting Valve decides to release a continuation / an alternate storyline to the Half Life Series, involving the beloved Alyx.

The second you enter the game you are greeted with the iconic Open Your Mind, in an ultra HD viewpoint, very cool Valve. The game starts off pretty well, just a basic introduction, you learn that you are immediately Alyx and that you are currently located in the combine universe. We will end it there to avoid spoilers.

HL:A's mechanics are like none other to the HL series, and shed light on the VR experience as a whole. This game brings higher quality graphics, the Source 2 Engine, and many mechanics and physics we dont normally see in a VR. When I play HL:A I feel submersed into the game setting, following the instructions of Dr. Breen, whilst being able to do what you want, and explore and basically pick up anything you want. The ability to put stuff on your head and put on lets say a gas mask is really cool, and definitely adds to the "realism". Though I have not finished the game, I can definitely say with 4.5 hours played, I can write a half decent review for you all.

Now let me talk about the cons;

To start, you cant pick up EVERYTHING, which makes sense, even in old half lifes you couldn't
Another thing is the inability to put headcrabs on your head, come on guys really what if I want to feel my virtual spine depleating.
Another thing I found was that you aren't able to climb things without using the teleport feature, you cannot use your arms to lets say, mantle like in real life, and for certain areas you can't even go prone or crouch, you need to use the teleport feature to get in/across, which really disappointed me.
You will also find there is no sprinting, you have to change the walking speed manually through console, defeats the purpose of shift walking and sprinting like in HL1/2

With those out of the way, I will definitely say this game is an absolute win, it's not quite HL3, but its a step closer and a progression to what could possibly be HL3, according the Gabe Newell himself in an interview done about Half Life Alyx and Valve Corp.

Hope you found my review helpful, I will now commence the head of the crab
