Sony has seen the combined might of our valiant Helldivers and realized that going ahead with mandatory PSN linked is very un-democratic. WE HAVE WON.

I love this game, I want that to be abundantly clear. It's easily one of the most fun shooters I have ever played, and the replay value is nearly limitless. It has engaging updates and a communicative dev-team.

HOWEVER

This is extremely soured by the new announcement that going forward, having a PSN account is MANDATORY to be able to continue playing the game.

Intrepid internet dweller, I hear you asking "Why not just make a PSN account, that should be extremely simple, right?"

Wrong! There are a large number of countries that simply do not have PSN access. Making an account for them is a near impossibility. They COULD, use a vpn to make an account, or lie and say they are from another country, however both of these things are against Sony TOS and could result in the aforementioned account being terminated at any time.

Sony has effectively trapped an untold number of people playing on PC who do not have, and cannot acquire, a PSN account. I have no malice towards Arrowhead, this is firmly a Sony decision, but I have to express my distaste somehow, so until this decision is remedied, this review will be left as negative.

It's pretty good.

This is a peculiar little gem in the rough. It very obviously reeks Diablo-clone, but it manages to keep itself interesting enough to warrant wanting to continue playing it. It's just simple and fun, there isn't a whole lot to think about. The translations are hilariously bad, but you are certainly not playing this game for it's storyline. It's easy to pick up and play in bite-size segments, and it's not pay to win in any way, I haven't spent a single dime and I'm still having a blast. Fully recommended if you want an extremely simple and satisfying game that is reminiscent of DIablo, with guns.

Fantastic game, don't listen to all the haters, way too may people judging the game at literaly first impression. The devs are extremely active and helpful on Reddit, and are already fixing tons of the major issues people have. I can't wait to see where this game will go.
