Early Access Review
Only played for a little while but I felt the need to give some feedback

1: combat
Melee feels borderline useless depending on what weapon you use, with two-handers feel basically not worth it ever. Guns are both very effective and sometimes not at all due to the netcode, if the gods of ping smile upon you, that headshot will actually connect, if not, well, there's always next shot- oh wait
2: looting
Ammo felt both consistently not possible to find and also extremely common, depending on if the gun you're using actually needs that ammo. the Powerplant mission seems to be the only one with consitencey in the fact that there's a billion rounds of ammo in the sub-objectives, which, if you're an 8 man team, is good. However. if, like me, you are a human being on planet earth, you will probably not be able to gather that many people. which brings me to....
3. Missions
the length of the missions is an insane commitment, I know NMRIH1 had some long ones, but those were generally linear, and in 2, sometimes you're just walking through essentially nothing for 300 or 400 meter stretches. The time investment for a single mission, where my character picks up all this useless garbage, only to get to an objective meant for a full 8 man group to solve, as we're the last 3 standing, is actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. it is basically impossible to complete the objective in certain scenarios due to how the spawning of zombies work, and the spawning of the objective. In the powerplant, there was 15 items (unmarked) we had to lug around to (unmarked) objectives, meanwhile 500,000 zombies were continually spawning around us, which leads to....
4. Zombies
Zombies spawn everywhere. They seem to spawn in essentially anywhere vaguely hideable, including under cars, in random bushes, and random ditches, water pits, etc. etc. When I played it felt like I was playing AI minecraft because I would look away for a brief moment, look back, and suddenly there's 4 new zombies in the place I was staring at.
Actually fighting the zombies is going to either be complete ♥♥♥♥ or a complete cakewalk depending entirely on RNG. The stamina system for melee weapons means that two-handers are going to get two good swings in and then you're going to die if there's more than 2 or 3 zombies. One handers can attack a bit faster but the damage might as well be nothing if you're using certain weapons. Zombies can tank obscen amounts of damage if you're unlucky or a bad shot, or the swing you wanted to do happens to connect in a weird way as someone else is hitting it, basically making cooperatively fighting something a struggle.

5. The RPG/Levels
I didn't really engage with this very much but as all of the prior issues state, having the luck to somehow have a character survive is next to impossible, and sometimes is actually undoable depending on the circumstances. They need to either rebalance the game to make it viable to have a character that can exist in a public lobby alone for a while or have a dynamic difficulty so the game doesn't give you an unwinnable final objective. (and before you go "git good or whatever, it is impossible to fight a horde with melee, and that's what the finales always involve at some point, so if you're out of ammo, and you have to carry anything or solve a puzzle or something, it's better to just hit K and blow your head off)

The game has a few bits of good ideas in it mixed in with a giant pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I cannot imagine paying for.

EDF6 no longer has Epic online services required.

The game itself is very fun and has an interesting spin on the EDF formula, featuring several different states of the world that affects some of the equipment you have available and how you're playing.

the game has had some crashes but I am unsure what causes them, I hope they fix them.

A pretty fun and unique survival game, with a neat progression system and a well designed series of levels, I look forward to what they do in the future

Dragon's Dogma 2 is Dragon's Dogma, the sequel. If you liked the first game, you will like this one. The game is a very open ended experience with a rich world to dig up and explore, you'll be wandering around every nook and cranny looking for random stuff to find and things to do, monsters to slay, etc. etc. Your pawns are going to probably be pointing out the same ladder in the capital every visit, every chest you've already opened, and every random notice on the wall about something you don't care about, and I love it. The game is not without flaws of course, the performance in bigger cities is not good, that's just a fact of life, and just like the first game, casting high level magic tanks the framerate to the single digits, at least for me, but man if it isn't a sight to behold.

The game having some weird quirks with new games and such have been ironed out, the DLC situation is literally drama made up for nothing, and people on Linux or Steam Deck should probably not bother until it's verified to work for whatever quantum/gnu/omegafart version you're on

I genuinely have no idea how anyone can give this a positive rating. To my knowledge this is a re-release of a game from 2000s, with a new coat of paint and some QOL, but the game genuinely sickened me with the camera movements and controls, real nausea from how bad everything was reacting and responding. I can handle some slavjank but this is beyond that, the translation is exceedingly poor and is incomprehensible at times, including the tutorial at points. In addition either the game is either so poorly laid out that I never understood how to speed things up, or an extremely "sim" based game, there's not a lot of arcade elements to the sea combat, it's entirely realistic with needing to manage cargo, ammunition, rum, repairs, and otherwise. It's a demanding game that I cannot say is for everyone, and it's very dated in essentially every element. I am glad they are releasing the demo for free as a seperate game essentially, but it is not good.

Another sad tale of my hopes being dashed by a pirate game, I feel a bit swindled seeing that this is a "New release" when it's just a re-release of some russian game

This game rocks, if you're looking for a good progression system, solid, fun gameplay with a unique gameplay loop, Dave The Diver is for you. I wasn't sure if it would click with me when I started it but it's extremely fun and engaging

An excellent love letter to Ace Combat, if you're a fan of that series, Project Wingman is the game for you, it's a little on the shorter side, but the price tag reflects that, However, it is well worth the money, the game is excellent, and the additional Conquest mode allows for even more replayability, in addition to unlocking more aircraft as you replay the campaign

All in all, a fantastic game, made with passion from an indie team who poured their heart into this.
