I don't even mind that it's boring -- overall dynamic of Steam review here shows that I'm a minority, and probably there's something to it here.

The dealbreaker here is that online is dead and you *need* people online to play with you, otherwise, it will be a dull experience (and you don't get most of achievements, if that matters to you somehow).

A great game! It's not too battle-heavy, but instead you explore new galaxy, make friends and enemies with space-faring species not know before to humanity. And on your way you find secrets of antient civilizations, solve misteries and of course, scan a hundred of planets for anomalies.
I spent good time here, practically in one sittings (okay, it was two weeks, but felt like one big flight through the universe unknown).

I was expecting some old-school, bulky-clunky semi-action, but oh boy, this game is a masterpeace! Suspenful, stylish, good-looking, logic.
I hope to see a remake for the second game sometime, or SS3 at last.

Update:
On top of everything, there'll be a kernel-level anticheat built-in from June 2024, imagine this!

It's a dissapointment, to be short. I've spent much time on Dirt 2.0 (and a little in Dirt Rally) and used to be in top 100 world-wide in weekly/dayly/monthly events -- that's for the context.

Change of game engine doesn't went well: I have 11700K & 4070Ti OC, and when I play 4K with DLSS it still stuttering, which is very uncomfortable: car loses control for a fraction of a second and it's easily a lose in a race.

There are also a lot of complains for absent of VR support and lack of support for sim-racing rigs in general.

Much anticipated car builder is a fiction: there are like 5-7 parts of each type for internals (which are basicaly "more expensive - better") and less then 10 parts for each externals and those look bleak and generic.
And what the point to have a licenced cars then? I play it to drive Quatro, not to get those simpletone generic cars.

A career regime is literally broken and regulary wipes players' progress at the time of patch 1.4.0, and Codemasters fails to fix it in several subsequent patches. A little hope that they will get their ***t together in the future, but the hope is low, again.

Also, CM has introduced some kind of season pass, and it's a complete joke: you pay for cosmetics, some of them you are not going to get until you also subscribe to EA play, lol.

Physics changed and I'm not quite used to it yet, but a general consensus that it's also not to good: your car will be like a cow on ice, spinning and losing grip unpredicably.

I can't recommend to get this game on full price anyway in the current state.

It's good, and getting better, a real treat for strategic lovers.

So, it's basically interstellar war crimes simulator.

Not worth it.
It looks pretty at first, then it overheats your hardware harshly than new Doom, then all your colonists die from thirst because of a bug which follows the game since EA builds, because -- guess what -- the devs busy with upcoming DLC.
I'll try to refund, but with little hope, but you -- you can still *don't* buy it!

В отзывах многие говорят про Сабнаутику, и геймплейно это действительно похоже. Но Бресидж (официальная локализация имени похоронной компании, вокруг которой крутится сюжет) это деконструкцию жанра "выживач с крафтом", удивительный талант Мужика всё ломать и этим продвигаться вперёд, а также про супер-обаятельный Костюм, который действительно затыкается очень редко, но слушать его приятно.

В общем, за такие небольшие деньги крайне рекомендую!
