Loot was bad but was (maybe??) fixed, Ascendancy trial balance is ass, both choices are painful for different reasons. Ascendancy balance can be all over the place (bloodmage LOL), you'll still die to a tiny aoe explosion somewhere in the middle of your screen that is covered in a mess of 20 different effects, and builds will still be randomly nerfed into the dirt by GGG.

And yet... I still wanna play it for hundreds of hours like I did in early POE1 beta.

Game sucks ass. 10/10

Do you want an excellent action RPG that is a mash up of Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, and Phantasy Star Online 2?

Then get this game. It's pure grindy fun.

There's definitely some gameplay issues, the progression system needs work, and not being able to pick your game mode or server region is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.... but....

Halo is definitely back.

It's DOOM 2016 but better. Tighter gameplay loop, improved weapon upgrades and systems, more enemies, better environments, the same amazing Mick Gordon OST (can't improve perfection).

The difficulty is higher as well which I am very happy with, playing on Nightmare for the first play through and due to being stubborn I will probably complete it without changing the difficulty, but its kicking my arse in places for sure.

What else can I say?

RIP AND TEAR. UNTIL IT IS DONE.

This game was an excercise in frustration. Despite there being a hint of a good game in there somewhere, the gameplay mechanics all come together to make playing it as frustrating as possible. Horrible UI, bad performance for how it looks, enemies are simply either a pushover or impossible to fight, your assistant ai robot is as dumb as a rock (and sometimes as useful as one), and actually progressing is more about trudging from one predetermined spawn location for resources you need to the next.

That doesn't even count the quality of life issues this game has. There are numerous little niggling things which are standard in most any game of quality these days, and they are all lacking in Osiris. Examples of QOL issues being inventory management being horribly cumbersome, plotting and building things being an excercise in frustration due to the grid/snaplock system they use and last but not least this game doesn't even let you change the mouse sensitivity from what I can tell (and also appears to use mouse accelleration) which makes aiming at enemies frustrating as hell.

TL/DR: Not worth the money for the quality of game you get. May have a good game in there somewhere if you can stomach the monotony and frustration it will bring you.

A choose your own adventure game having an existential philosophical and mental breakdown. Seriously.

A game where everything and nothing happens. Do things that you both should and shouldn't. Explore. Don't explore.

Just play it. You'll see.
