anything after XYZ should be deleted from yugioh, especially pendulums. But yeh i will check it out though. I would love to see the meta of yugioh during the synchro era. :pureloveheart:

Lol you should check it out if you want to play without links. It's a bit oldschool compared to your time but it's still pretty fun. The only extra deck monsters we had back then were regular fusions alongside synchros. Dueling book has a very dedicated edison community, and I believe they have leaderboards too (at least goat format does).

The later 2015-17ish formats were fun too but I don't think there's many people playing that era yet, probably more in the future as people feel more nostalgic over it.

I’ve played the modern game a bit and i’m not too fond of links either. A lot of people play older formats now if they’re not satisfied with the modern game. Goat format (2005) and edison format (2010) are the most popular. Both have pretty active playerbases with tournaments too, even at official events run by konami.

It was discard one to destroy either a set spell/trap or a monster.
There’s another card called lightning vortex that destroyed all monsters.
